I just rewatched this the other day after a really long time not having seen it and I noticed that every 10-15 minutes before the park all goes to hell, you hear Sam Jackson in the background politely informing people the last boat off the island leaves at 1700 or something, and everyone should be getting ready to leave the island. And I couldn’t help thinking if he’d just made those announcements as Sam Jackson, we could have avoided a lot of tragedy.

If you have not looked through the Geena Davis Institute website, you all really should.  It’s about representation of women in the media and they just finished partnering with UCLA to produce a study about working women in television and movies.  If you’re a little nerdy you’ll love this!

The institute is pretty great.
